Mapletree Industrial Trust announces a joint venture with Mapletree Investment to purchase a portfolio of 13 data centres in North America, for a total price of S$1,900.3 million (split 50/50 between both partners). The portfolio has a 100% occupancy and long WALE of 9.1 years.

To that effect, the trust is organizing a S$350 million private placement and issuing up to 180,915,000 new units at a price range of S$2.211 and S$2.265.

The manager expects the operation to increase both Distribution Per Unit and Net Asset Value per unit.
